Raising Hindu Children
A Journey of Culture and Values
“Raising Hindu Children” is more than just a program—it’s a commitment to nurturing the next generation with love, wisdom, and cultural richness. Together, let’s raise children who are not just rooted in tradition but are also prepared to thrive in the modern world.
About the program
In a world of ever-evolving lifestyles, ensuring that children remain connected to their roots has never been more important. To address this need, we at Satrangi Gurukul proudly run a unique program for Indian families called "Raising Hindu Children". This program is a year-by-year journey into the spiritual, cultural, and ethical dimensions of Hinduism, designed to instill pride, wisdom, and moral values in young minds.
What will the program cover?
Year 1
Saints of India
Children embark on a fascinating journey to explore the lives of saints like Adi Shankaracharya, Mirabai, Sant Kabir, and Swami Vivekananda. Through stories, songs, and activities, they learn about these revered figures’ contributions to society, spirituality, and culture. The emphasis is on understanding their teachings and embodying their values of kindness, humility, and resilience.
Year 2
Dashavataar
The ten avatars of Lord Vishnu offer a window into the cyclical nature of life and the triumph of good over evil. From the divine fish Matsya to the heroic Krishna, children explore the symbolism and significance of each avatar through engaging storytelling, role-play, and artistic expressions.
Year 3
Ramayana
This year immerses children in the epic tale of Lord Rama. Through interactive sessions, crafts, and dramatizations, they delve into lessons of duty, devotion, and righteousness. By understanding the relationships, challenges, and victories within the Ramayana, children gain moral clarity and inspiration.
Year 4
Mahabharata
The Mahabharata unfolds as a treasure trove of complex characters, ethical dilemmas, and timeless wisdom. Children are introduced to the key episodes, including the Kurukshetra War and the Bhagavad Gita, with a focus on decision-making, justice, and integrity.
Year 5 Bhagavad Gita
This crowning year brings children closer to the essence of Hindu philosophy. Through simplified teachings of the Gita, they learn about karma, dharma, and the paths of devotion, knowledge, and action. The emphasis is on making these profound ideas relatable to their everyday lives.
